Behind the Spec: Lisa Charter, Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance

Please join us in welcoming Lisa Charter to the Atonarp team! Lisa will head up QA/RA, reporting to Shaun Holt, and will be based in our Fremont office.

Lisa has a long career in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, most recently with 23andMe as the head of the Regulatory Affairs and Supplier Quality Assurance departments. She has spent 14 years in QA/RA roles in Clinical Diagnostics, Anatomical Pathology, Allergy Diagnostics, OEM and Direct-to-Consumer Genetics. She started her career in R&D, with 8 years designing and developing IVD assays for immunosuppressant drug monitoring, Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Drugs of Abuse through direct sales channels, instrument applications, and OEM. 

Lisa holds a B.S. in Biology from St. Mary’s College of California.

  • Interests: Gardening, baking, movies and travel, with my favorite destinations thus far being Fiji and Australia
  • Best Advice I’ve ever received: “Manage your manager." What this means is healthy communication, healthy boundaries, no surprises, and most importantly hold yourself accountable, a concept which works both ways.
